The campaign manager for the governing New Patriotic Party’s for the 2020 general elections, Peter Mac Manu and Tema West Constituency Member of Parliament who doubles as the Deputy Minister of Trade and Industry Carlos Ahenkorah have all been tested positive for COVID-19 and are receiving treatment at the Intensive Care Unit of the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital.
Credible information from Citinews reaching Talksafrica.com’s political desk reveals that a number of government officials have tested positive for the virus and are currently receiving treatment at various health facilities.
Meanwhile a few hours ago the former general secretary of the governing New Patriotic Party Kwadwo Owusu Afriyie, affectionately referred to as Sir John has passed on to eternity, after testing positive for Coronavirus.
A source at the Forestry Commission told Citi News that he died at the Intensive Care Unit of the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital.
