Chinese ambassador to Ghana bids farewell on completion of his two years tour

Chinese ambassador to Ghana Shi Ting Wang bids Ghana farewell on completion of his duty tour to Ghana as the Chinese ambassador.

Minister of foreign affairs and regional integration Shirley Ayorkor Botchwey commended the outgoing Chinese ambassador for his good works in strengthening the bilateral relations between Ghana and China.

She mentioned that an instance where Shi played an important role in facilitating the approval of development projects such as Sino Hydro projects.

Ambassador Shi called on the minister of foreign affairs and regional integration Shirley Ayorkor Botchwey on last Friday 5th June 2020 to bid the country farewell.

The Foreign Affairs minister praised the outgoing Chinese ambassador to Ghana for the good works he did. She also made mention of his determination and efforts in ensuring the accelerated development of Ghana.

She added that she is satisfied with the bilateral relations established between the two countries during the ambassador’s term leading to China becoming Ghana’s largest trade partner and the 7th largest in Africa.

She gave him assurance that the ministry will collaborate and support his successor to also have a fruitful duty tour.

Ambassador Shi in his response also thanked the president of the republic for the support and collaboration during his tour.

“I hold the most beautiful memory of Ghana even though my term was short. He said he was able to carry his duty as an ambassador because of the support he received.”.…he said

He acknowledged China and Ghana’s efforts in supporting each other in the fight against the pandemic.
