Durant has not played an NBA game since rupturing his right Achilles tendon in last season’s Finals as a member of the Golden State Warriors and the small forward also revealed he was one of the first NBA players to test positive for COVID-19.

“I was shocked. And then I was curious, I wanted to know what it meant. What is the virus about? I started to get information about it more and more. It calmed me down. I was just more curious [as] to what I was dealing with and how I could fight it myself.”

The current NBA season is expected to resume  31st July 2020 with a total of 22 teams set to participate including the Brooklyn Nets. The Finals expected to end no later than 12th October 2020.
