Two persons are feared to be dead following the heavy downpour on Tuesday morning in some parts of Accra.
According to reports, the rains started at about 3am through to 4am from the Aburi mountains down to the south side where it claimed two people’s lives.

Speaking to the Municipal Chief Execute of the Klottey Korle Constituency Samuel Nii Adjei-Tawiah, he indicated that, the Odawna drains were full up to the brim before the rains started around in the south side around the Odawna and its enclaves.
“The rains started from Aburi in the mountains and through to this part of the capital but before the rains could start here the odawna was already full and so the rains couldn’t get any other path to go through so it caused the flood, so far two people are feared dead and we are still rescuing the rest we are stuck in there” he stated.
However, one body has been retrieved so far by a joint police and military operations at the scene around 8am after several hours of working hard to rescue lives and properties.
