The General Manager for Electricity Company of Ghana in Volta and Oti regions, Ing Delali Oklu, has said the power distributor has contributed to 97.52 per cent availability of power for residents.
He said the company seeks to deliver quality, reliable and safe electricity services to support the economic growth and development of Ghana.
He also said the heavy investment in activities such as improving voltage profile of supply system and reduction of outages leading will increase reliability to attract investors to the region.
Ing. Delali Oklu said these when briefing Journalists on the company’s achievements in the Region.
He disclosed that result of numerous maintenance activities carried out by the company, feeders like Ve-Golokwati, Asiekpe Waya, Kpetoe and Nkwanta which used to go off frequently have seen massive improvements.
He said that constant patrol of the network would identify possible defects and submit for immediate correction.
He therefore assured the general public that ECG will not relent on efforts of providing quality and safe electricity services to support economic growth in the country.
He said “despite the company achieving 97.52 percent of electricity availability in the region, it will not relent on its efforts to provide quality, reliable and safe electricity services to support the economic growth and development of Ghana”.
