August 4 declared public holiday

The Minister for Interior, Ambrose Derry has declared Tuesday, August 4, 2020, as Founders day holiday.

In a statement signed by the Minister, noted that Tuesday, August 4, should be marked and observed as a holiday.

The statement issued on July 28, 2020, said: “the general public is hereby reminded that Tuesday, August 4, 2020, which mark’s founder’s day is a statutory public holiday“.

The statement also said that the general public should observe that throughout the country.

The statement further advised the public to observe the safety protocols, associated with the novel Coronavirus pandemic.

“Especially in relation to social events at public places”, the statement added.
