Former President of the Republic of Ghana John Dramani Mahama has stated that, the One District One Village policy by the Akufo-Addo administration was a propaganda tool used by the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the 2016 general election.

According to him, most of the districts in the Northern sector of Ghana do not have their factories as promised by President Nana Akufo Addo. He also touched on the fact that, the one district one factory policy has failed. He revealed that, both initiatives was to get Ghanaians vote for them.

“The One village,one dam has not materialized, all the dams dried up in the dry season.Most districts do not have any factory yet and yet it has all been propaganda,” he said.

After acquiring his voter ID card in Bole yesterday, Mr Mahama assured Ghanaians that he will restore economic prosperity on the land when voted into power.

“Ghanaians have seen through it and on  December 7, 2020 they are going to exercise their franchise to kick out this nonperforming government.

“We will come and restore economic prosperity in this country and we will protect our people from the coronavirus. Look at the number of people who are dying from the coronavirus This government has failed in this coronavirus.”

Meanwhile,The President of the Republic of Ghana Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo on August 4,2020 visited Akro Farms Ltd., a 1-District1-Factory (1D1F) initiative at Apasare, in Akwapim North.
