However, in what may be the worst kept secret in Ghana football, many reports seem to confirm that the Porcupine Warriors will be naming Phar Rangers Football Club owner, Nana Yaw Amponsah as the club’s new CEO after being tipped for the job following the exit of George Amoako last month.

Amponsah has already relinquished his position as President of Division one side Phar Rangers and the football administrator is believed to have already received an appointment letter from Manhyia to head the club’s administrative work.

According to former Wa All Stars CEO, Samuel Oduro Nyarko, the former GFA Presidential candidate is the right person to lead the Porcupine Warriors saying “Kotoko has gotten a very good leader, a young astute, intelligent, and efficient person. He has the willingness to sever, I pray he severs Kotoko with the knowledge he has in football” Samuel said in an interview to Otec FM Sports.

“I believe that Nana Yaw Amponsah will take Kotoko to the promised land if given the nod. I only pray that God will give him the strength and wisdom to run the club. I’m happy for him” He added.

Amponsah who serves as a FIFA Intermediary has youth development at heart and also has strong international links which could expose Kotoko to the modern trends of the game worldwide, and he is expected to be awarded a five-year contract by the Board.
