During your 8 years, what did you do for the youth – Bawumia questions Mahama

Running mate of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, addressing NPP youth wing and other youth organizations in Ghana to mark International Youth Day celebration held yesterday, Wednesday, 12, August 2020, questioned the achievements of John Mahama tailored towards advancing Ghanaian youth livelihood during his 8 years tenure in office at the Presidency.

According to Dr. Bawumia, the former President John Mahama is not a new quantity but a known quantity who has been in office for eight years as a Vice President and President, questioning that, what did Mahama do for the youth during his tenure.

To him, we are in an election year and we are hearing a lot of promises from the former president John Mahama, and you will even after sometime wonder if he has been in office before and may be tempted to think he is a new person.

The Vice President asserted that, promises are one thing but deeds and actions are another, adding that, actions speak louder than words to that end, John Mahama’s record of incompetence has already spoken very loudly.

In sharp contrast to performance of President Akufo-Addo in youth related policies, he stated that, Nana Addo has demonstrated his understanding of the issues affecting the youth and has taken steps to tackle them in his first term adding that, Akufo-Addo’s next term in office will be transformational for Ghana with the youth at the centre of that transformation.
