President of the Republic, Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo-Addo urged the people in the Eastern Region to seek technical assistance and consult officials before commencing any business.
The President who inaugurated a business resource centre at Akrade in the Eastern region noted that Economies or advanced countries came as a result of deliberate policies geared towards supporting small and large scale industries.
He said “if Ghana will grow economically, socially among others, it will depend on the individual or private sector industries.
“The Western countries are mostly developed due to much attention given to the private sector of the economy”, the President added.
President Akuffo-Addo called on citizens of the country to pay much attention to the private sector “which is equally an engine of growth of the economy”.
President Akuffo-Addo also stressed that the centre will go a long way to strengthen private industries.
In his address, the Nifahene of the Akwamu Traditional Area, Nana Ofei Addo Agyeman, expressed gratitude the project and said the Traditional area and the Asuogyaman district should not be forgotten when it is time for recruitment of officers for the resource centre.
