Ghana’s COVID-19 case count rises to 43,260 after 166 new cases

Ghana has recorded 166 new  COVID-19 infections that has pushed the country’s case count to 43,260.

This was revealed in the Ghana Health Service’s Thursday afternoon update on the coronavirus disease.

The number of recovered persons also increased to 41,276.

Death toll of the disease currently stands at 261.

Five people are in critical conditions, 3 are on ventilators and 14 are in severe conditions.

Ghana has, so far, conducted a total of 431,272 tests.

 

The country however has 1,723 active cases currently.

The Greater Accra Region remains the epicenter of the disease with a total of 21,521 confirmed cases followed by the Ashanti Region with 10,695.The North East Region is the region to record least cases.
