Today marks exactly one year Ghana lost striker Junior Agogo at the age of 40.The former Nottingham and QPR striker passed away in a London hospital after years of suffering stroke.
He began his youth career at Sheffield Wednesday in 1995, moving up to the senior squad in 1997. He played for fifteen different clubs over the next fifteen years, before retiring from professional football in 2012.
The ex-Ghana international had several stints across England, USA, Egypt and his last competitive outing was at Hibernian back in 2012.
Agogo earned 27 senior international caps for Ghana, scoring 12 times and helping the team to a third-place finish on home soil at the 2008 Africa Cup of Nations.
He scored three goals for the Black Stars in the 2008 African Cup of Nations.
