Samsunspor sign Edwin Gyasi on a 3 year deal

TTF 2. Liga side Samsunspor have officially announced the signing of Ghana international, Edwin Gyasi on a 2 year deal with the option of extending for a further year.

Gyasi has been without a club since parting ways with Bulgarian side CSKA Sofia at the end of the 2019/2020 football season.

The Turkish club revealed the signing of the free-agent on their official twitter handle saying “Finally, a 2 + 1 year agreement was reached with the Ghanaian winger Edwin Gyasi wearing the CSKA Sofia jersey.”

The club also released a statement on their website saying “The signing ceremony of 29-year-old Edwin Gyasi, who has played for ghana A national team five times, was held at Yildirim Tower. Samsunspor Football Club A.Ş. Chairman Yüksel Yildirim and General Manager Mustafa Aztopal attended the ceremony.”

The 29-year-old made his senior debut for the Ghana national football team, the Black Stars, in a 5-1 victory over Congo back in 2017 during the country’s 2018 FIFA World Cup qualification.

The experienced winger has also had stints with De Graafschap, Roda JC, Heracles Almelo, Aalesund and FC Dallas.
