Nine more people succumb to COVID-19 in Ghana as active cases hit 1,604

Nine more people have succumbed to the coronavirus disease in Ghana increasing the country’s death toll to 270.

This was indicated in the Ghana Health Service’s Tuesday evening update of the coronavirus disease.

95 new infections have also pushed Ghana’s total COVID-19 case count to 43,717.

Number of recovered/discharged persons increases to 41,843.

Ghana has, so far, conducted a total of 435,253 tests.

The country however has 1,604 active cases currently.

The Greater Accra Region remains the epicenter of the disease with a total of 21,727 confirmed cases followed by the Ashanti Region with 10,776.

These regions are North East, Upper East, Upper West and the Savannah regions.
