President Akufo-Addo has revealed that, the reopening of Ghana’s air borders will take effect on Tuesday, September 1, 2020.
He made these assertion when addressing the nation on the measures taken by the government to curb the spread of the COVID-19 outbreak in the country.
“I am glad to announce that the Kotoka International Airport will resume operations on Tuesday, September 1, 2020. This has been communicated to all international airlines,” he said.
He added that the law enforcement agencies will deal with persons violating the COVID-19 safety protocols without fear or favour.
Let me remind those among us who want to continue to disregard the safety protocols that severe sanctions exist in our laws for such persons who will want to endanger the rest of the population through their actions and negligence.The Law enforcement agencies will, when necessary, apply these measures without fear or favor, ill-will or malice, and without recourse to a person’s ethnicity, gender or religion.”He said
