Upper East Region to get Domestic Airport under NDC- Mahama

Former President John Dramani Mahama has promised to construct a domestic airport in the Upper East Region when re-elected by Ghanaians on December 7.

He made this known at the launch of the party’s 2020 Manifesto on September 7, 2020, at the University of Professional Studies, Accra.

“We will construct a domestic airport in the Upper East Region. The land was secured when I was President and so we will continue with it,” he said.

Speaking on the Kumasi Airport, the flag-bearer said he will upgrade the airport to receive bigger aircraft.

He also stated that, various markets across the country will see a facelift using the Kumasi Kejetia module.

NDC Manifesto

The manifesto themed the ‘People’s Manifesto: Jobs, Prosperity and more’, is said to address the real needs of Ghanaian.

The manifesto put together by 21 persons within the NDC is divided into six thematic areas: fixing the economy, promoting human development, providing infrastructure for growth, providing decent jobs, good governance and corruption and deepening international relations and foreign affairs.
