Black Bombers receives GH₵5000 from NSA

The National Sports Authority (NSA) on behalf of the Ministry of Youth & Sports (MOYS) has presented a cheque of GH₵5000 out of an expected amount of $9200(GHC100,000) to the Black Bombers of Ghana as their Per Diems and Qualification Bonuses from the Africa Olympics Boxing Qualifiers in Dakar-Senegal.

Prior to the preparation for the competition,the Ministry of Youth & Sports through the NSA payed for only 5 tickets for the Boxers and 2 Coaches who represented the country.

The Ghana Boxing Federation payed the remaining cost which included feeding and lodging with the assistance from the Ghana Olympic Committee.

Five members of the National Amateur team progressed to the semi-finals of the 2020 Olympic Games Qualifiers.

Sensational featherweight, Samuel Tackie won the 52–57kg category, whilst Jessie Lartey demolished his opponent in style in the welterweight division, while Suleman Tetteh, the skipper of the Black Bombers won in the flyweight division,

In all,the Bombers had 2 Qualifiers to the Tokyo 2020 Olympics Games and won 3 Medals.
