Former Youth and Sports minister Hon.Edwin Nii Lante Vanderpuye is calling for a debate against the current sports minister Isaac Kwame Asiamah on the state of sports in the country.
According to the maverick politician he is bent on debating with his fellow colleague on sports development, promotion and management.
He made this known when speaking with Asempa FM monitored by Talksafrica.com.
“I’m calling for a debate with him on sports development,promotion and management”he said
He added that,the debate should be held at a neutral grounds or better still his colleague’s constituency (Atwima Mponua constituency).
He stressed that, none of the ruling party’s appointed ministers can stand the opposition party in a debate on pertinent issues in relation to the development of the country.
“I want the debate to be held at the Accra Sports Stadium or his hometown,the NPP ministers cant stand us in any debate on Ghana’s development”he added
Nii Lante Vanderpuye in July described the current sports minister as a bad choice, highlighting the challenges the sector is facing under the leadership of Isaac Asiamah.
Both ministers have criticized each other over the development of sports in the country and debate seem to be one of the best option for the two according to Odododiodoo Member of Parliament.
