Some leaders of the Economic Community of West African States(ECOWAS) will visit the country for a meeting on Tuesday September 15, 2020.
In that regard,Some major roads in Accra, Ghana’s capital city will be temporarily closed.
The meeting will be held at the Peduase Lodge.
The closure will ensure that there is free movement for these diplomats when they arrive.
The diplomats from members states are expected to deliberate on measures to resolve the political crisis in Mali at the meeting.
President Akufo Addo will chair the meeting after he was elected as the new chairman.
Roads to be closed are the Kotoka International Airport to the Liberation Road at Opeibea,the airport bypass to Giffard Road through to the Liberation Road,Kempinski hotel to the National Theater on the Independence avenue,Liberation Road through to N4 to Peduase Lodge and the Liberation Road from 37 to Obasanjo Street, Tang Palace Hotel, Independence Avenue to Ako-Adjei
The police have cautioned the general public to adhere to traffic regulations as the country hosts the diplomats.
“Motorist should park on the right when they see the convoy approaching,” a statement from the Ghana Police Service
