Ghana Premier League (GPL) side Accra Hearts of Oak returned to training last Friday 25th September 2020 following President Akufo-Addo on Sunday 20th September 2020 lifting the ban on all contact sports.
And according to club captain Abdul Fatawu Mohammed, the players have been waiting for this moment and are ready to work themselves hard as they anticipate a tough campaign.
“The ultimate is to win silverware next season and, we are leaving no stone unturned in making sure that the team will be ready to go when the opening whistle sounds,” Fatawu told Hearts Media.
Hearts forward Abednego Tetteh also spoke saying the players “cannot wait for the start of the new campaign as we want to repay the club for the faith, they have shown in us.”
The players have asked for prayers and support from all Phobians before and during the upcoming season as they look to win the Ghana Premier League for the club next season.
The Nations flagship competition, the Ghana Premier League (GPL) is expected to kick start from Friday, 13th November 2020. While the Division One League (DOL) kicks off on 3rd December 2020. The Women’s Premier League (WPL) is set to kick off on 2nd January 2021.
