Stop the criminal act else we descend on you-Asogli Chiefs to Separatist group

Chiefs of the Asogli State Council in Ho have cautioned members of the Western Togoland separatist group to desist from engaging in violence and channel their grievances through the appropriate authorities.

The Chiefs said they will be forced to deploy their warriors to defend and protect their territories if members of the separatist group continue with their criminal activities.

This comes after the attack undertaken by the group on Tuesday, where two vehicles belonging to the State Transport Corporation (STC) in Ho were set ablaze, while a driver in the yard was also assaulted.

Addressing the media on Tuesday September 29,2020 in Ho, Togbe Adzilakle Howusu XIV, the Warlord of the Asogli State, speaking on behalf of the Agbogbomefia Togbe Afede XIV and the chiefs of the Asogli State, condemned the group’s actions while calling on government to ensure that the perpetrators of the crime are brought to book.

They said the Asogli State Council will not hesitate to unleash its warriors to collaborate with the security agencies to ensure peace and stability in the Volta region and the country at large.”

“We also advise those people who are doing these criminal acts to use the proper channels to address their issues, if there are any. The Asogli State Council is ready to deploy the warriors of the Asogli State to protect the territories of the Asogli State in collaboration with the securities of the nation,” they said
