Bernard Mornah loses PNC chairmanship position

Bernard Mornah lost his chairmanship position for the People’s National Convention at the party’s congress in Accra.

The PNC held its congress Wednesday September 30, 2020 to elect its flag bearer for the 2020 presidential election and national executive officers to steer the affairs of the party.

In the chairmanship race which was collated across the 16 regions of the country Mr. Mornah polled 1,266 votes while Moses Dani Baah polled 1,297

Also in the flagbearer contest, David Apasera won overwhelmingly with 1315 votes as against Samson Awingobit’s 789 votes and Rev Samuel Adjei-Debrah’s 465.

With the General Secretary post, Janet Asana Nabla won with 1312 votes as against Kobe McDonald’s 230 votes and that of Emmanuel Wilson Jnr’s 1041 votes.

For the Vice-Chairman slot, Henry Haruna Asante won with 1729 votes against that of Omar Ahmed Bekure’s 635, Eugene T.K. Bashiru’s 375 and Hajia Hajara Musah Ali’s 946 votes.

Bernard Mornah who is contesting the parliamentary seat for Nadowli Kaleo constituency wished the party well as they surge forward.

“I wish Moses Dani Baah, David Apasera and the rest of the team that is elected the very best in their stewardship. It is my hope that where we failed, they will succeed”
