Management of the Ghana Airport Company Limited has refutes claims of maltreating passengers who arrive at the Kotoka International Airport(KIA).
In a release issued by the management of the Company dated October 5,2020 they said their attention has been drawn to a video circulating on social media regarding an alleged maltreatment of some passengers who refused to pay for the COVID-19 test on arrival at KIA.
They explained that,passengers who refuse to pay for the COVID-19 test on arrival are handed over to the State Security Agencies and taken into quarantine at a designated location.
GACL management further stated that, the alleged video was taken by a disgruntled passenger who refused to pay for the test on arrival and were waiting to be transported by the State Security Agencies.
They pointed out that its their utmost responsibility to ensure a smooth facilitation process of passengers especially during this COVID-19 era.
