President of the Republic of Ghana, H.E Nana Akufo-Addo has today Tuesday, October 13, 2020 commissioned the newly refurbished Hall of Trade Unions for the Trades Union Congress.
According to H.E, the role of Organised Labour, especially during our struggle for freedom and independence from the British colonial power, is written in letters of gold.
He explained that, in the post-independent era, Organised Labour has also continued to play a very constructive part in the development of our country.
“Government’s contribution to this refurbishment was GH¢12.7 million, and the refurbished Hall is a fitting and proper tribute to the memory and work of the TUC.” He emphasized.
