MoGCSP Holds Orientation For 2020/2021 National Service Personnel

MOGCSP HOLDS ORIENTATION FOR 2020/2021 NATIONAL SERVICE PERSONNEL

The Human Resource Directorate of the Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Protection has held an orientation session for the 2020/2021 National Service Personnel on Wednesday, 14th October 2020.

The orientation which converged over 100 service personnel at the basement of the Ministry is, among other things to sensitize them on national service-related issues and also educate them to be abreast with the mandate and activities of the Ministry as well as it’s agencies.

The Minister for Gender, Children and Social Protection, Hon. Cynthia Mamle Morrison urged the
service personnel to build a good relationship with their Heads of Departments and colleagues.

Speaking further, she tasked them to carefully choose friends that can positively impact their lives since this can make and unmake them.

Hon. Cynthia Mamle Morrison finally tasked the service personnel to strictly adhere to instructions that will be given by their various Heads.

Dr. Afisah Zakariah in her brief statement entreated the national service personnel to work hard and be committed to every task assigned to them.

The Chief Director also advised them to have a clear mind to work in order to contribute effectively to fulfilling the mandate of the Ministry.

As part of the orientation, some Heads and officers from the General Administration Directorate, Human Resource Directorate, Social Protection Directorate, Ghana National Household Registry (GNHR), Department of Children, Department of Social Welfare, Department of Gender, Domestic Violence Secretariat, Research, Statistics and Information Management (RSIM), Policy, Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation (PPME), National Council on Persons with Disabilitiy, Human Trafficking Secretariat and the Public Affairs Unit interacted with the service personnel and also gave an overview of their respective roles and responsibilities.

Emmanuel Agyei-Poku and Mohammed Hajara, National Service personnel were elected to serve as a liaison for the 2020/2021 year group.
