Twenty STEM Facilities to be Constructed in Ghana- Akufo Addo

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has stated that,government is working towards developing learning modules to evoke the interest of students in engineering and technology right from the basic level.

According to him,the Ministry of Education, and the Ministry of Environment, Science, Technology, and Innovation, are tasked to develop these modules of learning.

He made these assertions during a presidential reception for the 2020 National Maths and Science Quiz (NMSQ) winners, PRESEC.

According to him some investments are being taken to improve infrastructure to support Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) education in the country.

He stressed that some twenty STEM Facilities are going to be constructed across the country to enhance knowledge and capacities at the basic level.

β€œGovernment this year, is training some nine thousand basic school teachers in the delivery of STEM education. In addition, four thousand four hundred basic schools being equipped with STEM equipment. The construction of twenty STEM facilities will commence soon with the project also included the supply and installation of equipment and training of teachers and instructors.”
