Black Starlets drawn in Group B OF WAFU U-17 qualifying Tournament

Ghana’s Black Starlets have been handed a difficult draw in Group B of the upcoming WAFU competition which is slated for Benin in December.

The Under-17 national team is expected to face winners of the last competition, Nigeria and neigbours, Cote D’Ivoire in the same group in what seem to be the toughest group.

At a virtual Draw held in Abidjan on Tuesday morning, the Black Starlets were placed in Group B alongside their familiar foes

Nigeria, who went on after winning the zonal competition to place fourth at the 2019  U-17 AFCON, were seeded for Tuesday’s live draw.

Tournament hosts Benin who were also seeded will face Niger, Burkina Faso and Togo.

The tournament which was earlier scheduled for November, will now be staged between  December 5-20, 2020.
