Willem Alexander Coleman has been appointed the new Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Ghanaian Premier League (GPL) giants, Hearts of Oak.
Willem holds an MBA in Sports Management from La Liga Universidad Catolica San Antonio de Murcia (UCAM) and is seen as a huge steal by the Phobians due to his experience and links to the Spanish game.
Hearts announced the appointment on their official Twitter handle saying “Hearts of Oak secures the service of a professional Chief Operation Officer. He holds an MBA in Sports Management from the LaLiga-UCAM University, Spain. Bachelors’ degree in Economics and Sociology, KNUST.”
After joining the Accra giants Willem took to social media thanking the club for the warm welcome “Thank you Hearts of Oak for the opportunity, and confidence reposed in me. Let’s do this! Phoooobia!!”
The experienced sports administrator has a number of achievements under his belt from facilitating the Dubai International U-13 tournament that saw Ghana representatives Lizzy U-13 winning the competition to serving as a silent consultant for Phobia local rivals Accra Great Olympics.
He also served as the campaign coordinator of former Ghana Football Association (GFA) Vice President Fred Pappoe during the 2019 GFA Presidential Elections.
Willem also championed the Greater Accra Juvenile League about five years ago single-handedly, showing his love and dedication towards the development of talent in the country.
