Match Commissioners to undergo training Friday

The Ghana Football Association (GFA) will organize a one-day training course for Match Commissioners (MC) on Friday, 30th October 2020 at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence at Prampram.

This forms part of the GFA’s preparations towards the 2020/2021 league season which kicks off on Saturday, 14th November 2020.

The course is for Match Commissioners in the Ghana Premier League (GPL), Division One League (DOL) and the Women’s Premier League (WPL).

Key areas of importance which will be looked at during the course include:

-How to use the Competition Management System (CMS) effectively,

-The Role of a Match Commissioner.

-How to conduct technical meetings and report writing.

-New amendments to the Laws of the Game.

-The concept and interpretations of the Laws of the Game.

-GFA Statues and Regulations and

-Integrity values and principles.

GFA President, Kurt Edwin Simeon-Okraku, General Secretary Prosper Harrison Addo (Esq) and members of the Executive Council will be in attendance.

The 2020/2021 GPL season is scheduled to kick off on the weekend of November 14-16 at match venues across the country.

The upcoming 2020/2021 GPL season which is set to kick-off on 14th November 2020, is expected to run through until the weekend of July 16-18, 2021.

Ashantigold SC, Asante Kotoko SC, Medeama SC will all begin the new season at home whereas Hearts of Oak, Karela FC and Dreams FC will be on the road on Matchday 1 of the season.
