Kayserispor midfielder Joseph Attamah has returned to training ahead of Sunday, 1st November 2020’s game against Çaykur Rizespor in the Turkish Süper Lig.
Attamah was one of the seven Black Stars players to have contracted COVID-19 after returning to their respective clubs, but the combative midfielder after isolating for 10 days, responding to treatment and after two checks done by the club’s medical team has been cleared to rejoin his teammates in training.
The players; Jordan Ayew, Caleb Ekuban, Gideon Mensah, Bernard Mensah, Joseph Aidoo, Kasim Nuhu, Joseph Aidoo, Gideon Mensah and Joseph Attamah were all part of Ghana’s team for the friendlies against Mali and Qatar during the international break.
After returning to their clubs from international duty with the Black Stars, tests revealed the players were positive for COVID-19.
Currently, Jordan Ayew, Caleb Ekuban, Gideon Mensah, Bernard Mensah, Joseph Aidoo and Kasim Nuhu are all responding well to treatment meanwhile Attamah joins Joseph Aidoo and Gideon Mensah who are out of isolation and training with their respective teams.
Kayserispor press spokesperson, Mustafa Tokgöz, spoke on the return of Attamah and Oğuzhan Çapar “Good news; the results of the coronavirus tests of our players Joseph Attamah and Oğuzhan Çapar turned out to be negative for the second time. Oğuzhan in training, Joseph in a straight run.”
