We are Ready for the Premier League season – Eleven Wonders

Techiman Eleven Wonders is prepared for the 2020/2021 Ghana Premier League season after their top finish ambition in the 2019/20 season was curtailed by the cancellation of the competition earlier in July.

The Administrative Manager of Eleven Wonders, Ali Mohammed, believes the club is 80% ready to begin the next season on a brighter note.

He told UniversSports monitored by Talksafrica.com that despite the increase in weight of the players, due to the COVID-19 and the lockdown, the technical team has worked assiduously to put the boys back into shape.

“We have played some friendly games and we only drew one of our previous game, so per this I can say that our team is 80% ready.

“The issue is that, when we started pre-season, when our boys came, some of them had put on weight, ut as I am speaking to you now, Coach Ignatius has been able to trim down and bring the boys back to fitness,” he said.

He attributed last season’s poor performance to the change in coaching personnel.

For this season, Techiman Eleven Wonders have made new acquisitions who can challenge for the tittle, he indicated.

“All in all, yes our performance wasn’t good last season just that during that time coach Ignatius had just come, after coach Frimpong Manso had left but this year, player wise, all the players are still here and our squad in depth is fantastic with the likes of Kwai Jason, Francis Akorlor, Rasheed Mohammed,” he touted.

Techiman 11 wonders placed 15th in the truncated Ghana Premier League last term, but they hope to move higher.
