A middle-aged man has allegedly committed suicide by stabbing himself at Maamobi, near the market, in Accra.
According to report by universnewsroom.com monitored by Talksafrica.com the man has been identified as Seidu Muhammad.
Residents in the area claim that the deceased was mentally deranged.
According to them, Seidu Muhammad, prior to the incident, was saying that he was “tired of life”
Brother of the deceased, could, however, not confirm these claims.
He said that he was unsure about the circumstances that would cause Seidu Muhammad to claim his own life.
Police officers from the Kotobabi Police station were at the scene and the body was conveyed away.
