Ajax have set its sights on FC Nordsjaelland 19-year-old Ghanaian forward Mohammed Kudus as a long term replacement for Chelsea-bound Hakim Ziyech.
Reports coming in reveal that the Amsterdam-based club have been monitoring Kudus for a long time and are looking to bid the reported €8 million the player is said to cost.
Kudus has been impressive for the Danish Superliga club scoring 12 goals in 28 appearances this season, which has seen him nominated for the 2020 Golden Boy award, generating a lot of interest from clubs such as Borussia Dortmund, Borussia Mönchengladbach, Everton, Liverpool, Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur but the forward is said to prefer a move to the Johan Cruijff ArenA.
The Ghanaian forward has been playing for FC Nordsjaelland since January 2018, after the club picked him up from the Ghana-based Right to Dream Academy. He would make his debut for the Wild Cats shortly after his 18th birthday later that year. Kudus has so far made 57 appearances for FC Nordsjaelland scoring 14 goals.
