According to reports Ghanaian Premier League giants Kumasi Asante Kotoko are set to replace Portuguese sportswear manufacturers Striker to partner English sportswear manufacturers Umbro.
Should a deal between the Kumasi based club and Umbro be completed it will be seen as a giant step by the new board of the club as the sportswear giants designs, sources, and markets football-related apparel, footwear, and equipment are sold in over 90 countries worldwide.
The deal will see the end to a 2-year partnership with Striker having been kitted by the Portuguese sportswear manufacturer since 2018.
Kotoko are the record Ghana Premier League champions and arguably the biggest club in the country having won the Africa Cup of Champions Club and the CAF Champions League in 1970 and 1983 respectively.
Umbro are also the kit manufacturers of Kotoko’s main rivals Hearts of Oak.
