Asiedu Nketia has this to to say about the John and Jane ticket

General Secretary of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Mr Johnson Asiedu Nketia popularly called General Mosquito has urged the opposition NDC to work hard to recapture power come December 2020.

Speaking at the official outdooring of Professor Opoku-Agyemang as the running mate for John Mahama held yesterday 28th July 2020 at UPSA Accra, Mr. Asiedu Nketia, said “former President John Mahama and Professor Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang together affectionately called John and Jane cannot do it alone.

According to him, the ticket of former President John Mahama and his running mate Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang Agenda do not have the magic band to easily win power if they the party members do not work extremely hard.

To the general secretary, what is important is that, the decisions [Professor Opoku-Agyemang nomination] must satisfy the greatest number of the NDC party members to that end, and so after a decision has been taken, their duty to close their ranks, rally around the leadership of John and Jane and make sure that the mission of rescuing Ghana is accomplished.

He reiterated that, this is the time for party members to collectively take ownership of the future of John Mahama government.

“If we all sit aside and expect that President Mahama and Jane have magic to bring us to power, eventually when the power is going to be John Mahama and Jane’s government where will you be.” He opined.
Asiedu Nketia further stressed that, if NDC as a party get their weight and put their shoulders to the wheel, whether they are identified for praise or not and they do a little bit they can in their various ways get the government to emerge, they will truly be an NDC government come January 2021.
