The Court of Arbitration for Sports (CAS) has finally announced the verdict for the much-awaited case between Wilfred Osei Kwaku ‘Palmer’ and the Ghana Football Association (GFA) dismissing the Tema Youth President’s appeal.
This means that Palmer who was looking for the previous results of the last GFA Presidential elections to be declared null and void for a fresh election to be held will not be getting his wish. CAS has also ordered the experienced sports administrator to bear the cost of the arbitration which is yet to be determined.
Palmer had been seeking justice at sports highest court for the past 11 months ever since he was disqualified (on two counts which include the failure to pay transfer commission to the GFA as well as failing an integrity test) by the FIFA appointed Normalisation Committee (NC) from running in the 2019 GFA Presidential elections.
