Deadline for submission of squad list

Ghana Premier League (GPL) clubs are being reminded that Friday, 6th November 2020 is the deadline for the submission of team squad list and strips (official and reserve colours).

As usual, the squad list should include the position of the player, team captain and jersey numbers. Clubs should take note that registered jersey numbers would remain unchanged for the season.

The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has over the past few weeks embarked upon various programmes and events in the lead up to the season.

Referees, Match Commissioners, TMS managers, Venue Media Officers, Club Media Officers and safety and Security officers of clubs have undergone training as part of preparations for the new season.

The Ghana Premier League (GPL) will kick off on Saturday, 14th November 2020 with Aduana Stars and Accra Hearts of Oak set to headline the fixture list for Matchday One of the 2020/2021 football season at the Nana Agyemang Badu I Park at Dormaa.

The Dormaa lads have an outstanding home record against both Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko, but that home invisibility nearly hit a jolt last season when the two sides met with the Phobians managing to snatch a point at the Nana Agyemang Badu I Park.

Matches between the two sides at Dormaa have always been a crowd puller and a keenly contested one. Statistics have shown that Aduana Stars versus Hearts of Oak games is one of the most viewed ties in the domestic calendar.

The ‘battle between Samuel Fabin and Edward Nii Odoom’ will be the first game to be broadcasted live on Television.
