Dr. Opoku-Prempeh discharged from UGMC

Education Minister, Dr. Matthew Opoku-Prempeh has been discharged from the University of Ghana Medical Centre in Accra, where he was self-isolated.

The self-isolation came after he came into contact with some government officials tested positive for Coronavirus.

That was announced in a press statement, signed by Press Secretary to the Minister, Rodney Nkrumah-Boateng.

The statement said “the Minister for Education, Dr. Matthew Opoku-Prempeh, announces that he has been discharged from the University of Ghana Medical Centre (UGMC) in Accra.

“With a positive rapid antibody test result and will be further monitored”, it added.

The statement also said that the Minister was currently at home resting.

It noted that the Minister expresses gratitude to all those who wished him well during his time in the hospital.
