EC Chairperson is not COVID-19 positive – Electoral Commission declares

The Electoral Commission has reacted to publication going viral online by a website that, the chairperson of the Electoral Commission has tested positive for COVID-19 virus.

In a press release dated 9th July, 2020 signed and issued by Miss Sylvia Annoh, Director of Public Affairs at the Electoral sighted by Talksafrica.com, the Electoral Commission has vehemently debunked the claim that EC chairperson Mrs Jean Mensah has tested positive for COVID-19.
According to the Commission the claim by the website, is an outright lie and a figment of the authors warped imagination.
The Commission further elaborated in the statement that, the Chairpersonof the EC is well and at post, adding that she has not tested for Corona Virus.

The Commission further advised the general public to disregard the lies and fabrications and treat the story with the contempt it deserves.
