The Electoral Commission of Ghana (EC) has made arrangements to extend the Voters’ Registration Exercise across the country.

The extension of the exercise will begin tomorrow, Saturday July 25, 2020 at District offices of the EC.

In a statement issued today, July 24, 2020 by the Electoral Commission, further arrangements have been made for specialised groups of citizens to participate in the ongoing Voter Registration Exercise.

It said, the extension will include registration of persons above 50, health workers and security personnel in the country.

“The list has also been extended to include health workers and all categories of security personnel, once they are able to show proof of identification.

“Registration officials assigned to the various district offices of the commission will assist these groups of persons to go through the exercise”, the statement said.

It thus appealed to citizens to raise awareness about the latest arrangements by the commission for the success of the Voter registration exercise.

The statement concludes that EC urges all persons to take advantage of the ongoing exercise to get registered.
