The Electoral Commission has announced that a mop up registration exercise will begin on Saturday, August 8, 2020 to Sunday, August 9, 2020.
The EC said the exercise will be held at the various district offices of the commission across the country since the voters registration exercise comes to an end today.
The EC in a statement issued on August 5, 2020 noted that the Commission was giving the general public an opportunity to register.
It said ” The Commission is giving another opportunity to those who in one way or the other, could not avail themselves to register during the exercise”.
It also said that eligible applicants should visit the district offices to get registered.
The Electoral Commission has so far registered over 14 million people and may have an increase in the numbers.
This is because of the mop up exercise organised by the commission.
