The Ed-Al-Adha has been declared to be marked on Friday, July 31, 2020 throughout the country.
A statement issued on Friday, 24 July, 2020 and signed by Minister for Interior, Ambrose Derry said the Ed-Al-Adha celebration is a statutory public holiday.
The statement said that the public must observe the celebration.
The statement said “the general public is hereby reminded that Friday, July 31, 2020 which marks Ed-Al-Adha, is a statutory public holiday and should be observed as such throughout the country”.
The statement has therefore advised the public to observe safety protocols in relation to social events at public places.
“The general public is advised to observe the safety protocols associated with the novel coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19), especially in relation to social events at public places”, the statement said.
