Effiduase DCE accused of Protecting a rapist

The District Chief Executive (DCE) for Effiduase-Asokore, in the Ashanti Region, Mary Boatemaa Marfo also known as Akua Konadu, has been accused of shielding an alleged rapist in the area, Frank Boadi.

Frank Boadi, 43, popularly known as Kwame Baaburu, who is said to have returned from France and currently operating hotel services, has been accused of raping and impregnating an SHS student (name withheld).

Narrating the story to, the father of the victim, Kwadwo Sekyere alleged that DCE played a major role in preventing the victim from being prosecuted by the police because she is dating the said Frank Boadi.

He said the matter was reported to the police and was therefore directed to report to DOVSSU in Effiduase, where a medical report was requested to be taken at the Effiduase government hospital.

According to him, the report, however, stated that the 17-year-old SHS 2 student and victim, was one month and 3 weeks pregnant for Frank Boadi.

Father of the victim, said that the matter which was with the police, and handled by Crime Officer, Asante, also the Divisional Police Commander, told him that the suspect came to hand himself over to the police, adding that, he would cater for the needs of the pregnant girl, and give her GHC200.00. monthly for her upkeep.

But father of the 17-year-old girl said he demands that Frank Boadi is otherwise known as Kwame Baaburu be put behind bars so justice can be served.

“I am a father of 7 children, none of my children has been to school, that is why my 17-year-old daughter was sent to school thanks to the Free SHS policy.

“My daughter has now been defiled and now pregnant, all I want is for justice to prevail, Kwame Baaburu must be put behind bars because he is known for sexually abusing girls in the area, and nobody can talk about it, because of the relationship he has with the DCE.

“She controls almost everything including the police station in the area, that is why the case was taken for granted until several calls were made by the good people of the area and by the media for the police to be up to the task”, he said.
