Nigerian comedian, Ayodeji Richard Makun also known as AY has won the man of the year at EMY awards 2020.
The event was held virtually on social media and Joy prime due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The EMY man of the year award is honored to men who have had a great impact on society and both globally and internationally. The Nigerian comedian, the actor has hosted live shows and hosted the AY comedy skits over the years.
He produced his first movie, 30 Days in Atlanta which became a very popular movie in Africa and beyond. AY was a UN peace ambassador in 2009 after he won six awards in 2008 including Diamond Awards for Comedy, MBG Abuja Merit Awards, Teens Favorite, Arsenal Award for Excellence, Mode Men of the year Awards and National Daily Awards.
In 2009 he was the UN ambassador and won the Best Event A.Y Live, NELAS Awards 2018in the United Kingdom. He has won this and other awards so far in his acting/comedy journey.
Tonight he was given an award for Best Man of the year at the 2020 EMY Awards.
