The Electoral Commission of Ghana has informed the general public that it will not undertake any registration exercise on Friday, July 31, 2020, since it has been marked as a holiday.
The Electoral Commission in a statement issued yesterday, said “the Electoral Commission informs the general public that it has reverted to the original timetable for the last phase of the 2020 Voters Registration Exercise”.
It further said “the general public is hereby informed that the commission will not undertake the Voters Registration Exercise on Friday, July 31, 2020”.
The statement noted that the final phase of the registration exercise will take place from August 1, to August 6, 2020, to enable Muslims have a joyful Eid-al- Adha celebrations.
The statement added that it apologises for the inconvenience caused by its earlier release.
The statement concludes that the Electoral Commission wishes all Muslims a happy Eid-al-Adha.
