With the decision to either resume or cancel the current Ghana Premier League season still some weeks away, the Ghana Football Association (GFA) has acquired 10 sets of referee communication gadgets for the competition.
The gadgets which will serve as a boost for Ghanaian referees who officiate in the Premier League were received by GFA General Secretary Prosper Harrison Addo at the football association’s headquarters in Accra on 28th May 2020.
The equipment was manufactured by French outfit, Vokkero, a leader in radio communication systems for mobile teams for professionals and will be used by all communication.
It should be noted that referees in the top flight officiated the first fifteen games of the season without the communication gadgets and this should come as welcoming news to them.
According to the GFA, the gadgets will also be used to officiate the other products of the association including the final of the MTN FA Cup, the Women’s Premier League final and some dicey games in the National Division One League.
