Ghana School of Hygiene students granted two days to present account details for financial clearance

Students Representative Council (SRC) President of the Korle-Bu School of Hygiene, Freeheart Owusu Ampomah, has stated that the Ministry of Sanitation has given them Friday, August 21, and Monday, August 24, 2020 to provide their bank details for clearance of their allowances.

The Ministry of Sanitation and Water Resources faced challenges in its quest to process payment of allowances for the students due to incoherences in the data of their their account details.

“There is a problem with Ho School of Hygiene and Tamale School of Hygiene. Some of the students details are not complete, their bank details and e-zwich details so leaders should go and collate the data and bring it to make it complete by tomorrow Friday or tomorrow Monday so that she deliver Ministry of Finance for them to sign the clearance and deliver it to the students” he said.

This directive was given at a meeting between the Minister of Sanitation, Cecelia Dapaah and the negotiation team of the students on Thursday, August 20, 2020.

Mr. Ampomah added that the process for the disbursement of the monies is almost complete and a press release to that effect is underway.

“They are even preparing to release a press statement to that effect, on the day that they would give the clearance to the student leadership,” he stated.
