I don’t understand why cinemas should remain restricted-Abeiku Sagoe

Veteran actor, Abeiku Sagoe has expressed his displeasure following what the President said on Sunday, July,26 saying churches, long distance vehicles and clubs can operate and still adhere to the safety precautions given to stay safe amidst the COVID-19

Speaking to Andy Dosty on the Showbiz Review this morning, Abeiku explained that although the movie theaters have air conditioners, the movie industry could also enforce the restrictions by getting their audiences to wear their face masks and adhering to social distancing.

Comparing the fact that churches, mosques, clubs and vehicles could operate, the veteran actor revealed that, most churches built with glasses while long distance vehicles going to Tamale and other far places in Ghana have air conditioners in them and can not travel with that long distance without using their air conditioners.

Abeiku Sagoe continued by adding that, he believes there has been some kind of unfairness to the movie industry since they could also adhere to the safety precautions and find other alternatives once movie theatres and cinemas are allowed to operate.

In conclusion, Abeiku Sagoe advised his fellow movie producers to take the opportunity of the COVID-19 to learn more on the Ghanaian culture and philosophy and apply them in their movies.
