“I pity Nana Addo” – Kwesi Pratt


The managing editor of the Insight Newspaper has reportedly said he feels pity for President Nana Addo in the wake of COVID-19 pandemic in the country.

Kwesi Pratt Jnr made this statement in a discussion on Peace FM, after the President’s 10th televised address to the general public on Sunday night of 31st May 2020 to ease the restrictions imposed to fight the outbreak of covid19 pandemic.

The president announced the various changes he has made that will be implemented in the coming weeks after the announcement.

The announcement includes a statement on the attendance of private burials, wedding ceremonies and religious activities.

In the president’s address, he indicated that from 5th June 2020, a total of 100 can attend private burials and wedding ceremonies and hours of religious meetings including Church service and mosques for prayers limited to 1hour.

Kwesi Pratt on the celebration on the measures taken by the government in the fight against the virus said it is not easy to wield the responsibility of being the head of state of a country battling the virus.

“I feel pity for the government and everyone should feel pity also” and every president battling the virus should also be pitied, if you are a Ghanaian and you don’t feel pity for the president then you are wicked.”

He said that because according to him the economy is not doing so well and carrying the burden to be the president in this times is not easy.
