I won’t contest December 7 elections- Dr. Paa Kwesi Ndoum


The Leader of the Progressive People’s Party (PPP), Dr. Papa Kwesi Nduom has announced that he is not participating in the December 7, 2020 polls.

Dr Papa Kwesi Nduom, who spoke in an Interview with Daily Graphic said “I will not contest this year’s presidential election due to ill health”.
He explained that he had not been in the best state of health since 2017 adding that he was based in the United States for some time now attending to health issues.

Dr. Nduom said he was convinced that the PPP had a new set of leaders to make an impact in Ghana’s politics.

He said he had to undergo treatment in Ghana and the US because things have been physically and mentally challenging.

He said that the Coronavirus outbreak also interrupted his treatment.

According to him, the stress of the past three years due to the revocation of of GN Banks licenses caused extreme damage to his health.

He said he left direct management of his company several years ago and now had to rediscover details of their operations and put in more efforts to solve the challenges.
